Fishing Cove (North Cornish Coast)
Also known as Fishermans Cove this is a lovely little cove near Hells Mouth which
is about half way between Portreath and Hayle on the B3301. From Hayle take the
B3301 which passes through the village of Gwithian. Shortly after Gwithian you drive
over a narrow bridge at Godrevy before climbing up a narrow hill. At the very top
of this hill you will see a small parking area on your left. Park here, if you come
to a small café called Hells Mouth Café then you’ve gone too far.
The far end of the parking space exits onto the coast path. Head in the direction
you have just come from signposted to Hayle and follow the coast path for about 400yds
until you come to a narrow fork on the right through the gorse. Follow this narrow
path for about 20yds and Fishing Cove will come into view.
The sun shines on this sheltered little cove from early morning until mid-afternoon.
