A guide to Cornwall’s Naturist Beaches

Sunny Cove (Falmouth)
Also known as Arthur’s Beach this is a very sheltered shingle beach. To get there
from the A39 Penryn Bypass turn off at the Hillhead roundabout which is signposted
Constantine, Swanpool and Maenpoorth. Go straight on at the next two mini roundabouts
and keep going for about a mile until you come to a left turn signposted to Swanpool.
Park in the large car park directly opposite this beach and walk back up the hill
you’ve just driven down for a short distance until you come to a footpath on your
left signposted The Coast Path to Maenporth. Walk along the coast path enjoying
glorious views over Falmouth Bay. The path then enters a wooded area and goes slightly
uphill and round a bend. Just after the bend you’ll come to a war memorial on your
right. A few yards after the memorial you’ll see a narrow footpath on your left.
Take this footpath which winds its way down to the beach which will soon come into
view.
Being south facing the sun shines on this beach from dawn till dusk. It is also
very sheltered. Swimming is best when the tide is in as it gets a bit rocky at low
tide.
